The challange: Producing leads at an ever-shrinking cost

The last 16 months I have been involved with a process to organically produce used car leads for dealerships at a cost that remains steady, but results that grow over time. This is the thrust; reduce the cost per lead to under $10 per lead within the first 4 – 6 months of service.

The reason for this quest is that dealers around the country are complaining that and AutoTrader require the same monthly investment, but the volume of leads keep deacreasing

It has become painfully apparent that the shopper uses other methods of looking for a car which include just putting the desired vehicle into a search using Google, Yahoo or Bing.

I have found all kinds of companies that can produce leads at a static price of around $16 by purchasing ‘key’ words and other SEO tactics. This is not what I’m looking for. We almost had it down with continually producing websites and interlinking them with CraigsList postings, but that ran out of steam when others ‘back linked’ those sites and used those URL names for their own purposes.

A new formula has been proven to work. The cost of it increased, but at least we know it will remain a set price and the lead counts will grow. Stay tuned as I moniter this situation.
